“Man in the middle”

Man in the middle came in a vision one night of a living totem pole: a red man on the back of a blue whale with a golden eagle perched on his shoulders framed in a continuously flowing hourglass of infinity.

The man represents humanity’s unique position as keeper or destroyer of balance. Behind them is an hourglass bearing a Haida pattern for "sand".
